Sikhism Guide, is a UK based, self funded not for profit religious organisation, that are non political and do not endorse or promote any outside interests, beliefs or religious agenda. Our fourth most goal is to raise awareness about Sikhs and their beliefs. We act completely independently and are not connected or affiliated with any other organisations or groups. We aim offer a purely non biased and holistic view of Sikhi. We do not back or support any type of Sikh groups that are not considered in the mainstream fold of Sikhism. At the same time we do not believe in criticizing any sects, but aim to bring all Sikhs together as one on our shared morals and values of Sikhi.
Although, converts to Sikhism are MOST welcome, the faith does not actively proselytise and is against making attempts to change others religion. Hence Sikhs do not preach, but only teach for those who would like to know more about the faith. This is inline with the Sikh teachings of religious tolerance, peace and equal respect for all faiths. Sikhs teaches that all faiths should be respected to the highest level and everyone should be able to practice their religion without any form of discrimination. Everyone is welcome in the Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) irrespective of their faith and can also enjoy a communal free meal together. Infact he concept of Langar is to bring all faiths together as one.
Sikhism Guide serves as a educational portal to help gain a greater understanding of the beautiful Indian dharmic faith of Sikhi through in depth articles, audio and video resources. Our organisation endeavours to promote and work towards a dynamic five point programme, consisting of; educating the community via Gurdwaras, Sikh educational organisations and establishments; By publishing literature and printed material for public distribution.
