Navi Kaur Kahlon is a former Trustee of the Tracy Unified School District Board of Education. A proud product of public schools and a first-generation American woman of Punjabi Sikh heritage, Navi centers her work on equity, student voice, and culturally responsive education. She has served on the boards of local nonprofits supporting unhoused families and youth drug prevention initiatives, and volunteers with organizations like United Sikhs and the Jakara Movement.
She recently earned a Master’s in Leadership from the University of the Pacific Benerd College of Education, where her capstone explored faith-based leadership models—developing a values-driven framework inspired by the Sikh Gurus and tailored to support youth leadership and identity development. Navi brings both professional experience and a deep personal commitment to educational justice, youth empowerment, and inclusive public service. As a member of the Sikh Coalition’s Education Advisory Committee, she is honored to help advance Sikh representation and inspire the next generation of changemakers.
