Afy Inyang

Affiong “Afy” Inyang joined the Sikh Coalition in July 2023 as the Senior Digital Communications Manager. In this role, she is responsible for managing core aspects of our organization’s digital media work and finding various ways to elevate the Sikh voice in the American civil rights conversation. She spends her time fusing media, graphic design and communications to mobilize community engagement and push for meaningful policy change.

Prior to joining the Sikh Coalition, Afy worked with the Augustinians of Villanova, a Catholic order which founded Villanova University in Pennsylvania. While there, she was responsible for the organization’s digital communications portfolio, including producing newsletters and magazines, managing social media platforms, and fulfilling videography needs. In 2023, her team won multiple National Telly Awards for their video work highlighting diversity within their community; Afy’s producer work was specifically cited in the award.

Afy received her B.A. in Political Science, with a focus on Middle East Studies at Temple University. In her free time Afy enjoys doing yoga, watching documentaries and singing.
