Other Ways to Engage Your School
The Sikh Coalition has been leading Sikh Awareness presentations in schools, workplaces, and interfaith meetings for the last ten years. Generally, these presentations last between 45 minutes to an hour, but you can shorten or lengthen that time depending on your host’s needs. The "Elementary School Sikh Awareness Presentation" below is perfect for grades 3-6. The "High School Sikh Awareness Presentation" below is perfect for grades 9-12.
Case Study: Sikh Awareness Presentations Impact 1,200 Students
Ishmeet Kaur, Sikh community member and parent in New York state, discusses how she was empowered by the Sikh Coalition to go from leading presentations to her children’s classes to working with the Monroe-Woodbury School District to conduct more than 35 Sikh awareness presentations that impacted more than 1,200 students and faculty members.
